Surviving Everest
via the North and North-East Ridges
In
2004, I attempted Everest from the North side. If successful, I would have
become the youngest Briton to have climbed the mountain. Due to extremely
bad weather and being stormbound at 7800m the team did not summit.
However, myself and another team member, Paul Noble, did make it to a high
point of 8000m before descending. This lecture recalls the highs and lows
of the team in an effort for success. The lecture also contains original and unique
footage of a summit bid from a previous expedition.
